What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Raison d’Hêtre takes our clients’ security and privacy very seriously. We do not share any information with third parties, nor do we collect or retain any information other than that necessary for us to provide our services to you.

We collect the following types of information about you: Your name, contact telephone number (if you provide it) and email address. This data is collected in order to communicate with our clients to send class and workshop confirmations and reminders, class pass purchases and renewals, refunds and cancellations. In some cases, we also require that clients provide us with medical information or other pertinent information for children’s camps, for example, such as preferred language, age.

How will we use the information about you?

We will use your personal information only in order to enable us to provide our services to you. This information is only viewed by class and workshop administrators. We store the information securely and destroy it securely if it is no longer required by Raison d’Hêtre. We keep this information for as long as is necessary to provide you with the services you have booked or is required by applicable laws.

We do not share any information with unrelated third parties, nor do we collect or retain any information other than that required for the provision of our services.

Medical information

In order to safeguard the health of our clients, we may ask clients to provide us with any pertinent medical information. This information is strictly confidential and used solely to inform our teachers of any medical conditions they need to be aware of when dispensing the classes or workshops. This information enables our teachers to provide safe alternative options during classes and workshops, and, where necessary, advise clients from undertaking the class/workshop that they wish to sign up for. This information is collected electronically in our booking system (Acuity Scheduling).

Acuity Scheduling

Raison d’Hêtre uses third party software provided by Acuity Scheduling to manage class and workshop bookings and gather pertinent information, such as medical conditions. In order to use this function, clients can choose to register with the Raison d’Hêtre Scheduling system. Once registered, clients can modify their personal information or delete their account

Acuity Scheduling is affiliated to Squarespace, and stores all data in servers and backup servers located in the United States. Acuity Scheduling has Privacy Shield certification which complies with GDPR regulations relating to transferring data outside of the EU.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

Should you require more information about the classes and workshops that we provide, you can contact us via the contact form on our website. In order to process your query, we request that you complete all fields (email, first name and surname, and message). All messages sent via the contact form are sent to info@raisondhetre.ch, to which only class and workshop administrators have access. You can request a copy of correspondence, its removal or correction, as stipulated in the Subject Access Request section.

Email marketing communications

From time to time we may send you information about our classes, workshops and special offers. For this purpose, Raison d’Hêtre uses Mailchimp to send email marketing communications. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at any time. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, you can unsubscribe yourself by using the unsubscribe link found at the foot of all email communications. Access to your information and correction (Subject Access Request)

Under GDPR, individuals have a right to request what data is held on them (known as Subject Access Request). It is our obligation to provide this information within 30 days. If you would like a copy of some or all of your information, please email info@raisondhetre.ch.

Where we engage third party contractors (e.g. Yoga and Sophrology teachers and workshop facilitators) to perform services for us, it may be necessary for those third party contractors to handle your personal information. Under these circumstances, third party contractors must safeguard this information and only use it for the purposes for which it was supplied, although we are not responsible for ensuring this.

Other than the above, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless:

In the event that Raison d’Hêtre refuses your request under rights of access, we will provide you with a reason as to why, which you have the right to legally challenge. At your request Raison d’Hêtre can confirm what information it holds about you and how it is processed.

We keep our Privacy Policy under regular revision. As such, we reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time. Should this occur, we will post all amendments on our website.
